Seger och 100 matcher!

Stoke City FC Women hade seriepremiär den gångna helgen och ställdes då mot Sheffield FC (världens äldsta ännu existerande fotbollsklubb!).

Damerna vann, till skillnad från herrarna, premiären. Segersiffrorna skrevs till 1-0, målskytt: Abby Hunt efter hörna.

En av “våra” spelare, Kelsey Richardson, gjorde sin 100:e match för Stoke City. Imponerande antal matcher för en 21-åring. Grattis, Kelsey!

Kelsey säger så här om denna milstolpe:

“Coming through the Centre of Excellence, it was my goal to play for the first team and to do that 100 times is a massive personal achievement for me.
The club has a special place in my heart and I’m proud to be apart of it. I love playing for Stoke, here’s to the next 100! UTP 🔴 ⚪️ “

Vår andra spelare, Beth Roberts, hade följande att säga om matchen:

“It was great to start the season, 3 points well earned. We played some great football and the girls really put a graft in with Sheffield being a physical side.

We know we are capable of performing better, especially with all the talent we have in the squad, so we set the bar high and continue to improve,

work hard in training and go and work hard to get 3 points next week. I’m excited to be involved in such a talented squad.”

 

Stoke fortsätter seriespelet på söndag 27 september med match borta mot Loughborough Foxes.
